Almost every post here begins with a sorry and a promise..
A sorry for not being regular at blogpost..And a promise for being regular from now onwards..
For now forget the sorry and the promise coz we all know I'm never gonna change :P :P
Ram Krishna Mission - Katihar , Bihar
The place where it all started .. and went on till 8th standard.
11 years .. i was almost about to finish my entire schooling from one single school , but for some reasons i changed to a CBSE school.. Nevertheless i've got only memories memories and memories to share .
1-"Masi-Maa": I was in L-KG when So there were these old cute cute bengali ladies whom we used to call Masi. Yeah , these maasis used te around us always. my favourite maasi used to have a paan in her mouth forever :P She used to tie her saree in such a way that she was comfortable in running behind brats like me. Each maasi used to have a small box , aluminium box with herself , filled with pencils sharpners and erasers. and the best part was whenever my mother used to come to school , i would get dead scared , coz i thought this fav maasi would complain and tell her evertything abt my nautankis.. But then she always ended up praising me :P
2-"KHICHDI" : Every year as kids we used to wait for Saraswati Pooja. First and foremost bec all our books used to be near the idol , so we used to get an awesome excuse for not studying , "Mummy books to bhagwaan je paas hai na :P" and the second most important reason was KHICHDI , This pooja was celebrated in a grand way in our school. All of us were invited and the teachers used to serve us some finger licking khichdi and crazy tomato chatni. Yea , the entire school loved this khichdi , all the benches from classes , were pulled out and arranged in the ground. they would put a PANDAAL on top of it, to create a shed for us and then we would sit there like kings , and our teachers would come and feed us :) :)
3-"Fancy dress Competition" : The last day of annual sports meet , we used to have a fancy dress competition. Most of us would slip into some avatars and go for a walk in school. Few of us would become statues and stand/sit on a table in the middle of the ground. Being Charlie Chaplin in 3rd standard is one of my fav moments. I remember my mother got all the things for the make up , put a small moustache got me a hat , stick everything and just asked me to loaf around in school campus, teasing others ..i loafed around , showing my tongue to everyone and walking/dancing/falling here there everywhere :P
Others would take up roles like Swami Vivekananda , Maa Sharda .. Few would dress up like beggars. the school would be at its best that day :) : )
4-"THE PENALTY SHOOT OUT" : We would make sure we reach 1 hour before the regular classes start. We would divide ourselves into two teams and play football in that one hour. Remember those MILTON water bottles , we used to flick their CAP and used that as the football. and the two pillars on the school stage would be the goalpost. Trust me this game used to get so intense , that sometimes teachers and other peons used to intervene and stop us. Some days if didnt have those CAPs we would go to lost and found dept of our school , saying we lost our water bottle. when the peon used to take us to the room and ask us to choose from the bottles , we would say none of these belong to us. but we would make sure we come out of the room with a CAP :P :P and the Game goes on :P
5-"LUNCH BREAK" : We at Ram krishna Mission had one of the most special lunch breaks. The main gate of the school would remain closed. but it was a HUGEEE green colour iron gate , below which there as a small gap , off which a plate would pass by easily . I m sure u didnt get what i meant.. There used to a famous Chat waala . He would sell us Chaat at Re 1 :) During lunch breaks we would lie down on the ground , pass him money form right under that main gate and then he would pass us the plate in return :P There were few permanent loafers too. they would not use this space , instead climb the wall and sit on top of that. Then they would act as mediators btw us and shat waala/icecream waala/Matka Kulfi waala. These loafers would take money from us , pass it to the other side of the gate and get us the chat or ice cream we needed. Well Off course , one spoon chaat or a couple of bites from our ice cream used to their FEE :P
